Hi all. Well, not strictly HF Mobile, but my new Slinky dipole will be used with my mobile rig. Its tuned for 21Mhz and has very good bandwidth, I might get it working on 17M with the AT-180 Icom tuner in the car.

I used choc blocks to connect the slinky to the dipole centre via some 20amp cable. I used some wooden clothes pegs to keep the coils in place. I clip them to some guy rope that helps to support the antenna.

Its feed with basic RG58 and compression type PL259s with clip on RF chokes, I used an MFJ Antenna analyser to tune it, then marked on the rope with a permenant marker. The mast is a cheap fishing pole from Sandpiper which cost £5. Slinky coils are not that heavy but the tension was a bit of a problem however the pole has plenty of give in it.

Full report on performance here when I have tested it on the homebase setup. I hope to compare it to the main 21Mhz dipole.
